have decided to publish some names and photos of the Israeli military personnel who participated in the so-called “Operation Cast Lead”, the offensive launched by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on the Gaza Strip between 27 December and 18 January 2009. The names of these criminals called my attention since the first day of their criminal attack against the Palestinian civilians in Gaza. I consider each person who took part in this IOF and each one whose name appears in this report as a war criminal who should be requested by an international court of justice, just like all other war criminals who were persecuted before…
My decision is a challenge to the State of Israel, to the Israeli attorney general Mazuz and the military headquarters, who forbade the media from publishing the names of the Israeli officers who lead “Operation Cast Lead” in Gaza, murdering 1310, and wounding over 5600, over 90% of these casualties being civilians, destroying public and the private property in many parts of towns and cities

· Karl Penhaul is doing a great job, reporting from the Egypt border. Two of his stories are available on cnn.com and BackStory web page. I have also uploaded clips on Dailymotion.I would like to be a fly on the wall of the Jerusalem Bureau and see how they are coordinating all the reporters in the field. Christiane, Nic, Karl, Ben, Paula, the AC360 team, the people on the phone from Gaza… Fionnula Sweeney is also there, anchoring for CNN/I.
The past several days have been like watching a replay of 2006, but with Gaza in place of Lebanon. One big difference for CNN viewers is that there are no correspondents inside Gaza, and you have to bet that CNN has been trying to find out whether Michael would be able to get in there. Presumably he’s on holiday, maybe somewhere far, far away from his cellphone… (I have to admit it’s nice not to be watching him report on the falling bombs from some rooftop in the target zone!)
I have great respect for the IDF, so I can only hope that this will not end the same way as 2006. Or if it does, that it is worth it for whatever behind-the-scenes goals they are pursuing
